Company History

In fact, the company name originally stood for “televisions” and “radios” – the common household electronics that we repaired. In 1953, Tele-Rad partnered with Motorola, and began providing service for local two-way radio customers. Feel free to stop by our Holland office to check out our collection of communications equipment from over seven decades in this industry.

Tele-Rad’s founders hired Wade Nykamp as their first employee, and the business is now operated by the third generation of Wade’s family.
